Sunday, December 16, 2012 Trail Work
Over the last two months, we have had the privilege of helping the State Parks trail crew on a number of improvements to The Forest of Nisene Marks trail network. In December, we will continue to work with Parks on these special projects. Tasks this month may include finishing construction on a 12′ long footbridge, brushing, constructing log retainers, finishing capping a turnpike with base rock, and rehab (duffing and transplanting native plants).
Grant money available for these improvements will no longer be available after the 28th of February, so we are really trying to rally our volunteers to come out to the trail days over the next three months. Come out and be a part of making our park even more spectacular.
- When: Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. and end any time from early to mid-afternoon
- Where: Meet at Ranger Kiosk, The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park.
- What to Bring: See Volunteer information.
- Sign-up for the December 16, 2012 trail work through our partners, Trailworkers.com.
