Special Comments:  Coastal wood ferns are seen throughout the forest. Look for them growing near the creek and all along the trail.

Some of the prettiest ferns in the forest, Dryopteris arguta can be identified by horseshoe-shaped flaps, arranged in two rows, that cover spores underneath the leaf. (See second picture below)
