Plants of the Forest

Common Name: Forget-Me-Not Scientific Name: Myosotis latifolia
Blooms: (February -September) Native: No. Introduced plant from Africa, but considered "naturalized" in California

Special Comments:  Although these Forget-me-nots are not native to the area, they are "naturalized" plants and not considered harmful to native vegetation.

The intricate detail in these tiny flowers is hard to see without a magnifying glass or a close-up lens. The second photo is of a patch of forget-me-nots growing in the Pourroy Garden in June.
