Plants of the Forest

Common Name: Tiger Lily Scientific Name: Lilium pardalinum
Blooms: June - September usually,
but in Marcel's Forest
look for them in mid-June
Native: Yes. Native of the area

Special Comments:  Found in the Pourroy Garden, where a natural seep is suspected to exist, tiger lilies in Marcel's Forest bloom around the middle of June. However, the blooms don't last long. The deer love to eat them, so be quick about grabbing the camera and making the trip to see these beautiful flowers. See also "Marcel's Tiger Lily Colony"
